Your Wedding Filming - Some Questions and Answers

Will the video camera be distracting during the day?

Not at all, we have a large number of clients saying that they didn’t even notice that we were there! This is because your attention will be taken up by friends and family, as well as the photographer who will be saying, “look at me”.

Will we be able to hear our vows clearly?

We use two broadcast-quality directional microphones which provide excellent clarity during the day. However, during the ceremony, we use a radio microphone attached to the groom as this will capture the vows no matter how quiet you are! Also at the speeches, we use a broadcast quality mic on a table stand that moves between the speakers on the day.

Do you film in high definition?

Yes, we do! The Hampshire Studio uses professional High Definition digital video cameras. As well as the latest computer editing systems to produce the highest quality of picture and sound

Who chooses the music that is included?

You do! I ask you to let me know which seven to eight songs you’d like in your filming and I then edit the filming to that music. That way the production will reflect your own tastes.

How long will our production be?

From the guests arriving to the first dance will usually take about an hour and a half. This includes the whole ceremony and the speeches. More dancing, longer speeches, full Religious Services etc will make your production longer.

Can we see any previews shortly after our wedding?

Yes, from time to time we will put a 5-minute highlight up on our website for you to see from your honeymoon location. It is easier if you are on social media like Facebook.

What happens if I have to cancel?

If cancellation of wedding takes place within three months of the wedding, 50% of the wedding package booked is due as payment to The Hampshire Studio

Can our guests take video?

Family and friends are permitted to take video as long as they do not disturb or interfere with the videographer’s duties.

What about anything that you miss out?

The Hampshire Studio cannot be held responsible for the lack of coverage caused by the bride, the groom, the wedding party or guests not being on time or interfering/restricting the videographers’ duty. Although every effort will be made, to stage up anything that is missed and is vital to your day.

What happens if it's raining?

Our filming will always be done from a suitable dry location as we cannot let the complex equipment get wet and rain covers make the equipment too difficult to operate.

Will you use our video for marketing purposes?

The Hampshire Studio reserves the right to use your images for any form of advertising to promote their company. Web-based promotions, brochures, galleries and competitions apply.

I would like to make a comment on your work afterwards, how can I do so?

You are welcome to send us an e-mail with a testimonial that may help other customers.

What if...?

Force Majeure: In the unlikely event of partial or total photographic failure, injury or sickness beyond The Hampshire Studio’s control liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid. Your statutory rights are not affected.
